Goals:

o To decrease STD transmission among LGBTQ young people;

o To decrease unintended pregnancies among LGBTQ young people;

 o To increase access and utilization of sexual health services among LGBTQ young people.

 Why INclued is needed:

• LGBTQ youth are disproportionately impacted by unintended pregnancy and STD rates, making this a much-needed program in the fight for LGBTQ equity and inclusion.

• The vast majority of sex education curricula, including evidence-based programs (EBPs), are hetero and cisnormative, while IN·clued was written from an LGBTQ youth-centered framework, ensuring that LGBTQ youth identities and experiences are at the center of everything we do.

Evaluation Results:

• IN·clued is designed for teens ages 14–19, but may be applicable to older or younger adults as well.

• IN·clued was a 5-year program that was rigorously evaluated from 2015 to 2020 through a randomized controlled trial, funded by the Office of Adolescent Health, with results showing overwhelmingly positive outcomes.

• A year after the workshop, youth who participated in the IN·clued workshop showed significant positive differences related to recent sexual behaviors, accessing sexual health care, sexual health knowledge, and health care self-efficacy
