WISE Iowa Project

Download our WISE Iowa Project brochureThe goal of the project is to increase Iowa school districts’ sustainable implementation of effective comprehensive sex education that complies with the State’s Human Growth and Development mandate.

The WISE Iowa Project has launched a new strategy to increase the ability and capacity of schools across the state to comply with the State’s Human Growth and Development Mandate through the   implementation of Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE) policies and curricula. This new phase of this project is designed to spread this process  over three academic years.  We are currently seeking 120 schools that will receive bi-annual newsletters with technical assistance and training on the various phases of creating sustainable improvements to the schools’ human growth and development programs.  Eight schools will be invited to participate in a more direct approach.  These schools will be offered direct program support and development by the staff at EyesOpenIowa.
