Welcome to our teen zone! We’re so glad you’re here. As a teen, you have undoubtedly had the experience of being seen as irresponsible or as a “problem.” At EyesOpenIowa, we believe the opposite – that, when given the right information and level of responsibility, teens are actually the experts in knowing what can help them and their peers prevent too-early childbearing and sexually transmitted infections.
We offer a statewide texting line (TxTina), where you can receive confidential answers to your sexual and reproductive health questions, as well as resources for pregnant and parenting teens. Check out the information below and join us! We’d also love your suggestions for how to expand our programming in the future.
Talking to adults about sex is about as fun as going to summer school. And asking questions during class in front of your friends can be totally embarrassing. So who can you talk to?
You can text any questions to Tina and get the answers you need straight to your phone.
