Meet Kay, our Sexual Health for Adolescents Rooted in Equity (SHARE) Program Manager. Kay holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Public Health. Her educational foundation and career development have focused on Women's Health, Global Health and Humanitarianism, and Family Service. Her prior experience in Healthcare Administration under Title X has led to a career focused on health equity and community access to healthcare resources.

In her current role, Kay oversees all SHARE program operations. She facilitates comprehensive and affirming sex education to youth aged 13-24 and family communication programming to parents/caregivers and their youth throughout the state of Iowa. Kay is an essential part of EyesOpenIowa's Training and Education Department where she provides continuing development to medical professionals on inclusive practice for sexual health amongst youth populations. Kay manages our Youth Advisory Council, ensuring youth voices are at the forefront of the program -these youth are 12 activists dedicated to advancing access to sexual health education in Iowa. Kay's leadership fosters collaboration and drives meaningful change, fueled by empathy and integrity. As a respected advocate for youth voices and equitable healthcare access, Kay's impact is both inspiring and transformative.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling nationally and internationally expanding her worldview and commitment to cultural competency. She enjoys roller-skating, tending to her house plants, and taking her dog on long walks in nature.
